Projects rarely go as planned. Perhaps the best way to ensure success in the implementation phase of a project is to have taken the time to thoroughly led your community through a participatory analysis for community action (PACA) framework. This video gives an example of how this process can make even the least successful of projects play a role in achieving sustainable change in the long run.
PACA TOOLS:
- Peace Corps PACA Training Manual
- Peace Corps Model Sessions
- How PACA looks.. really: a current example
I’d like to post more examples of this process in action. If you’re a volunteer currently serving in Senegal (or anyplace else, really) please send me a video or photos with a description of how it worked (or failed) for you and I’ll add it.
